Advent is a season to reflect on new life, new beginnings and renewed hope. It offers us a time to slow, rest and wait for newness to be born. What does it mean to hope is a world that can overwhelm us with fear and doubt? In this season symbolized by darkness, can hope bring light? The invitation for this morning is to enter into this time of quiet expectancy, and listen deeply to what stirs within as we ask ourselves, “How can I birth newness … how can I birth hope?”
Kathleen Geraty Davis: Earned a Masters of Arts in pastoral studies and certificate in spiritual direction from Aquinas Institute and is a certified in youth ministry.
